WACS7000/05 Fautly CD player
I have a WACS7000/05 with a faulty CD player (disc jammed a few years ago and I damaged the player trying to prise it out)
Contacted Philips who wont tell me what CD unit is fitted. They want me to send it back for repair but don't know how much it will cost!!
Does anyone know of a suitable replacement unit and where I might find one.
Thanks

It's actually a slot-loading DVD-ROM that's fitted to the WAC7000.
Model number is : Liteon SHD-16P1S
Not particularly easy to get hold of if at all. Not sure Philips even supply it as a spare part either.
Drop me a PM if you're unable to find one in the marketplace.

I have the same problem with the CD Player (discs will now not eject and will not read)
Can you confirm that the Liteon SHD-16P1S DVD CD ROM is the correct replacement part as Philips will not tell me any information at all

hello,
Is the Liteon SHD-16P1S working ?
When I look for this model on the net, I don't see a slot loading ?
What is the part number that refers to the slot loading ?
I have a WACS7000/12, when introducing a CD, it's reject after 2 seconds...I sent it to the service philips center who says that the parts to repare are not available anymore.
So I am willing to do replace the CD driver with a new one as you did.
thank you for your feedback.
