BDP5200/12 1.35 problems
I can not power on the device with the remote. I have to use the power button on the device.
When I play stuff over the network, via DLNA, or Net-TV-choice, the device often hangs if I stop a video, skip a video, or do other stuff.
At that point I have to press the power button ON the device for several seconds, and release, for the device to turn itself off.
The power button on the remote seem to work at some times, but not others, but I have not figured out what is causing it. It is not the batteries, as they are just one hour old, and every other function works. Powering off the device, when it is not hanging, works perfectly fine with the remote. Can this be the firmware?

Seems like power-on with the remote works when I haven't had to have the power removed from the device after a hang, or having had to long press the power button.

i would change the batteries for sure although you say it is new the device. The device only hangs when using >DLNA or NET tv? How is your connection? Stable, far away from router?

I'm having similar 'hanging' problems, but mine seem to be related to the network.
And not so much the power button. Although if it hangs, the player could display a while 'Standby'without reacting to anything...
I'm now resetting the device for the trillionth time and then just trying to disconnect the network altogether and just try to use the player for the discs (or USB)
TBD...
