52PFL7404/60 does not connect by HDMI
52PFL7404/60 does not connect by HDMI!
I am trying to connect it with Philips (!) DCD8000 via HDMI and cannot do it. It connects well by usuall SCART thing but not by super cool digital interface. I use a cable DEFENDER-10 with HDMI version 1.3. Is it compatible with this TV and DCD? TV uses 1.3a and DCD 1.4 and below. Help! It is not cheap toys

Hi
how long is that cable, to which input have you connected this cable?
What other Devices are connected to the TV/have been tested?

Hi Thomas,
Cable is 2 metres and I tested with two different cables. Second one was Belsis about $50, not a cheap one. The result is the same - no signal.
I tried to connect it to all 4 HDMI inputs - side port and 3 ports on the back side of TV. No shade of signal.
Other devices? There is usual TV antenna cable and SCART cable from DCD8000. It is working good, but I'd like to use HDMI connection from DCD to TV.
I never tried to test HDMI connection to TV, so I cannot claim that it was intact from the begining
Thanks for help,
Pavel.

I checked with another TV - and alas. This is my brand new DCD8000 who does not show the picture. Looks like HDMI output is broken there. What a frustration! Never thought that Philips can do that..
