Connecting 37PFL9606H/12 with DVP3880 via HDMI 1.4 cable

Hi,

Can anybody help me, I've just bought a new 37PFL9606H/12 and want to connect to my dvd player DVP3880 via HDMI.
Bought a new HDMI 1,5 meter cable and connected the cable to the HMDI ports on TV and DVD player.
Seem that there is a connection but no video signal. Thought this was more or less plug and play.
Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

Thanks for your reply, yes works via scart. Can't access the HDMI menu when connected via scart.

please use a different cable and also switch the Inputs on the TV.
Does the HDMI connection work with other Devices?
Did you test the Player on another TV?

Hi Thomas,

Tried DVD on LG LCD TV via HDMI and scart, didn't work via HDMI either. (no video signal)
Tried different cables didn't solve problem.
Really suspect settings in DVD are not correct for HDMI, problem is that HDMI menu isn't accessable when using scart.

Pls advise.
