Display replacement - 32PFL9705
Hi,
My display has been replaced because of different defective pixels and "pieping" noise of the Ambilight.
The noise is gone and it seems that the new display is better in "black/white" contrast.
My questions:
- How can I check my display that it has been replaced by a new BACKLIGHT LED and not an EDGE LED?
- When I activate my TV the logo "PHILIPS" is shown which was not the case before the replacement?
- Is it normal that my TV ask ones a day "a USB WIFI adapter is found", this was not the case before but in the meanwhile the latest firmware is installed. Hardware or software issue?
- Are there any "hidden" commands to perform some kinds of diagnostics?
Regards
Sjekke

I think the best way to check is to create a picture, which is all black, but only one circle of white.
If the white is realy white and the black is realy black in stead of two times grey, I think you can assume that you really have full LED. I'm actually wondering if they can replace a different backlightin in a certain model. Also I think the LCD panel and the backlight LED array are two different components in the TV.
The Philips logo should have been there all the time. At least, I always saw it...
Don't know about the dongle: the 40" has build in WiFi (I actually thought the whole 9705 line had it...)
Try pressing 1 2 3 6 5 4 on the remote. This gives some information (after the Red, Blue and red screens). Press down for the different pages, Return to exit...
Greets,
Chris
