Opera TV business SDK and Emulator

    Hello,

since there are Opera browsers in the Philips TVs, it might make sense to have a glimpse at their website for ressources and knowledge on how to develop apps for Philips TVs.

They published some information on CES about their app store for TVs and their browser, including DLNA support which is provided for TV systems.

Looks like Philips is using their ecosystem for their current TVs.

Looking at the Opera website, you can download an emulator to test CE-HTML and HTML5 apps for their TV browser.

Also they are writing something about an device SDK, but you need to enter some business information to gain access.

I did not got into all the details there until now, but want to share my actual knowledge here.
Maybe you can post you experience also here.
Were you able to access the SDK? Does the emulator work? Is the documentation good?

I just tried to play a little with it. It seems, one can use it for developement, but I did not find an option to set specific versions of the browser to check if different devices are working. So it seems not very different from the desktop version of the Opera browser.

The desktop version did also play videos, so it is a little better if developing video applications.
