Problem to upgrade firmware

Hello,
since January or longer i try to update my MCI298/12. Actual firmwareversion is V1.18.1115. I don'n know on which level the system will upgrade because the update does not work at all.
If i go to internet radio the system tells me, that there is a new firmwareversion and if i want to upgrade. If i agree, the system boots and tells me to download the new software. After a few minutes, the procedure starts from beginn and after 3 times i got the message that the update was not possible and that i shoud download the new version.
I tried the update connected wireless, with ethernet, direct behind the router, .... Nothings helps.
This leads to different questions:

1. Has anybody else such problems?
2. Solves the new firmware the reboot problems? (Slowly i got fed up with this, and thinking to buy a new player. (And for sure not from Philips))
3. Is there any way to download the new firmware? (Not only the stupid how to)
4. Any other hints to solve this problem?

Sorry for you, but as you can see, nobody from Philips will ever help you.

That will be my last device from them ...
