HTS9140 low volume for DivX
I'm a owner of the HTS9140 soundbar 3D. (model HTS9140/12)
I am happy with the sound quality, especially when I play a BluRay or a DTS disc. I've been upgrading the firmware so I have the current one v53.
But it's true that when I play MKV or .avi files the volume is extremely low. I guess that this kind of encoding reduces the volume of a movie, but I feel as if the soundbar wasn't as good as it could be, and it lacks the sound experience.
The volume of a movie file is a question of encoding. I.e, a question of software. So, could be possible that the software team changes the codecs parameters in order to improve and increase the volume for mkv or avi archives? It could be a way to offering a good experience for the user...
