Actually, I'm getting tired of this forum since no one bothered to answer or help someone here...
It should have been someone from Philips that should have helped those people who are looking for help here...

I'm using the glasses that came with the 55pfl7606. They work very good.
And the glasses I got from the cinema also works good, it says Real3D on them.

Hi
your TV (55pfl5527T) have 3 different 3D glasses you can use:
- PTA517
- PTA516
- PTA507
You should be able to get these from the electronic shop where they sell Philips TV's.Forum Mod

Hi,
ahh - a new mod from Philips ;-)
Problem is, that most shops cannot provide these glasses - for weeks and months... Some people are waiting since 2011 for glasses.

I can confirm this for germany too. Most retailers can´t sell them because they can´t order them because there´s a supply shortfall. Even Amazon needs 4 up to 6 weeks for delivery: http://www.amazon.de/Philips-PTA517-...6745867&sr=8-1

Hi, I've a 46PFL9705 TV with the original PTA02 glasses. The cross-talk is horrendous!!!
I'm thinking to buy the Xpand X104 Universal 3D glasses just to reduce the crosstalk. Has anyone tried them? Are they any better than the PTA516 / PTA517?
Will the X104 or PTA517 give me an improvement on what I have now with the PTA02?
Which ones do you recommend for least crosstalk / ghosting?Last edited by gad; 05-17-2012 at 04:35 PM.

Hi Thomas,
Please help me on this one. I got a new Philips Cinema Platinum (58PFL9956H/12) TV. The enclosed active 3D glasses PTA516 produce an annoying buzzing noise. I checked the serial and there is no V3 at the end of the serial number. What is the best way to get those glasses replaced by the improved PTA516 glasses? Whom can I contact best? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi,
the new V3 indication is only inside the glasses - not on the box. But if you find some in a shop you can read the production week from the serial - if you have one from may 2012 it should be a new one.
But if you call service, they should send you new ones without buzzing sound.

Hi,
yes - it's a sticker on the glasses itself - at least this is what I read from somebody who owns a V3.

Hi guys,
This is how the serial on my glasses looks like:

I did some research today and at the local MediaMarkt, they sell the improved PTA516 glasses, the v3 is printed on the left side of the glass:

I had a chance to test them and they are quiet, no buzzing noise. They also seemed to show less ghosting, but I only tested them briefly.
