Hi,

I have 47PFL7606H/12 using FW v0.14.93.0
I cant see Hebrew subtitles from USB (.str with .mkv) - text is gibberish
I tried to change the FW to the Hebrew version - I see no difference.

What is the difference between the Hebrew and English versions?
How can I watch Hebrew subtitles?

If you encode your subtitles as UTF-8, do they show correctly?

The answer in your question my friend is here http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...9368&faqview=1 and here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_1 Philips should have in the NEXT sw update more isos character sets supported for us Greek,Hebrew,Bulgarian,etc who paid the same money for philips tv but we cannot yet read proper subtitles as our friends from Western Europe read.

Thomas (I don't have a 2012 model), are utf-8 encodings supported?
(Because it is a universal solution for all languages... )

Unfortunately, I already realized that. My question was WHEN are you going to support other languages? Without support for local languages, EPG is useless, isn't it?

Frankly, I am quite embarrassed. This is not what I had in mind when I bought this extremely expensive TV...

Do you call this customer service? Your answer is irrelevant to the topic and already known. We asked for equity among philips worldwide customers in order we Greek,Bulgarian,Russian,Hebrew etc can read our mother tongue in subtitles too. It is highly dissapointing to feel left alone in comparison with other citizens who paid the same price with us for this product. You should either support all markets languages or no subtitles at all.
Is it such a trouble for you to make a software update in order to satisfy your dissapointed customers?Don't you see that our request is reasonable and right?Or obviously customer service and equity are not relevant with your values and strategy?
