DLNA: Order of directories and files on 32PFL7406
Hello everyone,
this is my first thread in this forum. I recently bought a 32PFL7406k/02, what a great TV!
Yesterday I started to connect the TV via the network to my DLNA server, on which I host quite large collections of photos and movies. Streaming works just fine.
But what really annoys me is that while browsing the media files on my TV, the order of files and directories seems to be completely arbitrary... There is no order according to type (directory or file) or even according to the alphabet.
Does someone else experience the same behaviour? Is there a known fix to get rid of the "feature"?
Thanks a lot in advance,
phi

Hi
via DLNA the TV only shows what will be delivered by the Server, the TV does not do an own sorting.
You have to configure (if possible) that on your Server.

I am using the Fritzbox 7390 built in media server. In the current beta firmware, the order is good, but they had some official releases before, where the order was something like the order one has written the files to disk. They started to implement different orders for different views. If you choose Folder, it is ordered by file name in the current beta.
Seems this might be something for the server...

Thanks Thomas, I wasn''t aware that there is no sorting done by the TV itself. I will check my server settings.
