don't get me wrong, but we have to be realistic a little and look at these facts:
    - lowest price (by far) on market
    - features that surpass the competition
    - responsive dev team (compared to competition)
    - big evolution from one generation to the next

If you want a tv set that's 100% perfect then maybe you should look at t price range that's 3-4 times higher. When you look at the big picture and see the cash flow you understand the struggle that's behind these products.

Besides, nobody asks you to be a Philips client, go with the competition and see the real limitations that they have...
Remember that it took Apple over 5 years to understand how to make a phone, LG and Samsung are still trying to make their tvs smart... still trying...

So let's not hate and be happy rather with what Philips did, because they did a very good job.
I owned the previous 2014 model (PUS7909) which was great, but with so many bugs, sooooooo many problems... now I have the new 2016 PUS6561 and I'm really happy with the progress.

Well, I do mind that if it is apparent that lots of stuff is no longer working correctly, they should at least allow me to go back to a version that worked for me. I really don't understand why they do not allow this, as it is merely a matter of providing an older install file.

I paid for a TV that had some promised features when I bought it, and I just want those features restored. I do not mind going to an older version if that works for me.

Cast does not work from the Ipad tablet. The chromecast icon animates but no cast connection is established. A friend's android phone was able to cast, but I do not want to invite him over everytime I want to use the NPO app :-)

Most annoying thing is everything was working quite well, until I applied this last update. I wish I had not been so stupid to update a working system (never again)
Ah, i see when loading playstore now in my browser that the tv is listed as not compatible. Must be changed by npo and not philips then, because i did manage to install it on android 6 a few weeks back.

Sorry that casting is not working, that leaves the kodi option, that should work.

@andryxpert I would kindly ask you not to crap in this thread; it is a FW feedback thread - not your personal Philips Fanbase blog.

Facts are the TV does not adhere to ANDROID TV firmware standards (as it should), and there's problems. As to the responsiveness of Philips technical team - we shall see with the next firmware revision (and the speed with which it comes).

As customers who paid their hard-earned money for a product, it is only natural we demand good support. Especially, when these are things you only find out about AFTER the purchase. Therefore, we report the problems and our discontent with their recent update - in good hope that appropriate people are listening and reporting this for future fixes.
End of discussion, let us focus on the topic at hand.
