Tried my friends Sony TV and Google Cast with Version 1.24.89383 installed and I can confirm there was no stutter on the image. The channel 4 logo was out of alignment though so that's obviously Google's fault but the jerky image is something to do with your firmware.

Hi, after firmware update 10.15.1, an error occurs very often and the error message “teletext application has stopped” appears on my device 49pus6561. So far I have noticed this problem on one particular DVB-C channel Markiza HD from my local TV provider Martico.

    https://www.martico.sk/pomoc/programovy-raster

The error does not appear immediately after switching to the channel, it appears after approximately 2 hours of watching mentioned DVB-C channel.

I got this message two days ago...

    "Hello,

As far as we're concerned, new software should be out soon so all the issues should be resolved.
Unfortunately I don't have any ETA yet but will keep you informed.
    Kind Regards,
    Caroline"

How long "soon" is though is anyone's guess!

    Hi,

I have issues with playing movies from network (dlna, windows shared folders). Full HD movies hangs every few seconds. I have not used previous firmware since I bought my Philips 55PUS6561/12 recently and updated software immediately. I had problems with cast, but after restore factory settings and reset cast works fine.

I can cast movies saved to PC's shared drive from windows 10 laptop or android smartphone and they plays just fine on the TV.

The same movies from the same source PC when send directly to TV via DLNA (network source, built-in player) or via shared folder (KODI, ES File Manager) hangs or cannot play at all! The bigger bitrate, the bigger problem is. SD low quality files plays almost fine, 720p files hangs, 1080p blu ray files do not play at all!

It is very embarassing and not so smart that my Philips TV needs second device to play movies over network.

Caroline you're so ignorant at times. I have no idea how you can call yourself the "Philips TV Forum Moderator" when you don't even reply to people's questions/problems about their Tv's. It's bad enough you only come on here once a day Monday to Friday but most of the time you don't even respond.

I think someone needs to take over your role.

They will do nothing. We are too few, just look how small number of TV users are posting here. They don't give a sh*t. Philips is loosing because we all will never ever recommend a Philips product due to this "support". Admit it Philips/TPV, we have faulty products (in my case model 7170), exchange it and show that customers are important to you! But do we really are hoping for a response? Maybe we should use the power of Facebook and start there some campaign against them, showing how bad they are and that they were and are selling faulty products?

I posted that comment 30 minutes before and she removed it which I wasn't happy about, so i reposted it. This is the first time since I've been a flat screen tv owner that I've been on the search for a new one almost every day only 3 months after buying it. My LG TV in my games room has had 3 updates since the last April update from Philips/TPVision which just proves they need to pull their fingers out their a*s and get it sorted.

I have pus7101 and last software.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to make USB Audio functions, I have a DAC USB (cm6631a) and it works under Android.
Unfortunately, TV does not support this feature.

    Dear Philips,
I bought my tv (55pus7181/12) about half a year ago and I am also very disappointed.

Besides al the problems posted by Jinx1337, Terminator3001, fuzz79 and SmolikOne I have a lot of other problems:

When watching digital tv (DVB-C) and the option Clear LCD is on there is stuttering. Especially when there are scene changes or when there is a moving banner on screen (example: news programs or end credits when a show is ending.)

Perfect Natural Motion is not usable because there are to many artefacts.

No smooth playback when casting to tv from apps other than Youtube.

No smooth playback of 4k content on apps(kodi, Vlc) other than the internal app. (was fine on the android 5 firmware)
Audio sync problems on all sources. The audio is ahead of the image. Only solution is to unplug and restart the tv and even that resolves the issue for a short time. I now need to unplug my tv every day!
Changes in brightness/contrast even when dynamic contrast, light sensor and eco settings are off.
Please please please add subtitle options to the internal player! Especially sync options, font size and position.

I totally agree with Jinx1337, Terminator3001, fuzz79 and SmolikOne! The customer care is really bad! There needs to be something done about the software and you need to keep your customers up to date, listen to them and reply to them.

Please tell us how long we have to wait for the new software update and what can we expect of it?

Agreed. Funny thing is I've been looking at getting the 55pus7181 myself from ao.com but I noticed it's the exact firmware as my current Philips TV so ill not be getting it yet. I would ask you how it is but I can see you're not happy Haha! It's silly that the last update was in April and we're in July now .
