    Hi there

Unfortunatly this update totally screwed my 55PFT6510/12.

I suffered from the remote going missing issue that was fixed some updates back but now it's even worse. First the joypad on the back didn't work, after a few reboots by taking the powercord out it came back (sometimes) but it just seems to lag to so nothing can be done. The remote doesn't work anymore, i can't reconnect it, but i can control the TV from a secondary universal Remote somewhat (RF signal)?

After like 10 tries to reboot it, i managed to Factory reset from menu, but that did nothing.
Is there away to go back to last firmware or even further? As i've tried to update again with USB but menu says it can't as it's the same or older than current (in this case the same).

    Any help would be great
    Regards
    Kristján

    Hi Kristján

About the remote... Try disabling auto update android apps. Uninstall the "google play services" update. Reboot Tv. That worked for me on previus firmware releases.

    Hi Ninja

Yes it took me a few hours of fiddling about, before i reached that conclusion also. I actually uninstalled all apps that i had downloaded, uninstalled Google updates and then was finally able to do a reinstall TV without just freezing. I'm staying away from all apps on the TV and just using it the simple way, i have a far more powerful android box anyways to do streaming and some light games.

Thx for taking the time to answer !

Last time i lost connection to the remote, the remote was in repair until Philips came out with a new update to fix it. Fortunatly i had a Universal Remote to use for about a month meanwhile.

    No sound

I also have no sound on some apps since upgrading to this software level - affects Netflix, Amazon and Kodi and probably others , after I turn the TV off and on. I've tried various things to fix it including disconnecting power for a while, a reinstall from the TV menus, and downgrading the affected apps, with no success.

Interestingly, the BBC iPlayer app is not affected and it reinstates sound for all the other applications, so my workaround is to open that app and play a few seconds on a program on there before loading up another app.

Moderators - any news on when a fix is coming?

    Hello,
We don't have any confirmed release date but as far we're concerned it should be out soon.

Maybe it better to take the time to create firmware that actually works, intead of buggy firmware that generates more new issues then fixes bugs.
Sooo much frustration has gone into this TV....

    Model: 32pfk5500_12 Last firmware...
1/Wifi: forgotten for ever: works, does not work etc..(no relation with the last firmware, it is like this since i bought it, +- 15 months ago).
2/USB device (flash key, HDD) must be disconnected before switching off. If they are not, red led can stay blinking for hours...
3/ When I switch on the device I have -nearly always- a full reboot.. (plilips logo etc..)
    Very very bad product...
