What can I do when my TV does not respond to the remote control? (50PFL7956T/12)

My TV (50PFL7956T/12) does not respond to the remote control.
I have tried to update the software for the TV, but it did not work, nothing happened.
I have tried to use a universal remote, but it did not work

    Hello,

There is a test you may perform to find our if remote control is broken or the sensor in the TV:
    • Switch the camera ON
    • Point the infrared LED light of the remote control to the lens of the camera
    • Press a button on the remote control
A white light should be visible on the preview screen of the camera when a button is pressed on the remote control.
If there is no light, remote control should be replaced.

    Hi
The original remote controls seams does not seam to working, but a universal Philips remote works, but the TV don´t respond (it has work before).
Where can I get a new remote? Somewhere in the Stockholm (Sweden) area ?

    Regards
    Tomas

Please contact Philips Sweden. They will be able to advise where you can buy a replacement in your area.
