    Thumbs up QM152E_000.005.255.197 for 5500, 6400 and 65x0

    Hi,

a new firmware is online (downloads are available on the support webpage of the TVs):

    Changelog: QM152E_000.005.255.197 (Date published: 2017-06-22)

    • Solution for Lip Sync
    • Channel logo updates
    • Stability Improvement
    • Improvement in APP [SPB TV Россия] (Russia)
    • Improvement in DVB-S installation (Russia)

After upgrading your TV, it is necessary to perform a "cold start". This means that, after the TV is running again (after the update), shut down the TV, wait 1 minute (till all components are shut down), and unplug the TV from the mains (pull power cord) for 2 minutes before starting again.

PS: Updating and reinstalling will result in losing your recordings and settings.

I installed this latest firmware and made sure I did the cold restart thing as well as reinstalling the TV after. What can I say. WOW! so far so good, the lip sync issue seems to have been fixed. I turned the TV off a few times and back on and the audio was still in sync without having to reset my audio delay feature on my surround sound system. This firmware has also fixed the HDMI issue I was having where the image went off centre. It's early days yet but if any bugs come back, i shall report them here. Fellow people I'm cautiously optimistic that we could potentially finally have THE firmware we should of had when we brought our TV's!!

How about random reboots after powering on?
    Is this fixed?

same thing here: EACH time I switch on the device I have a full reboot : philips logo followed by coloured flying balls and, eventually, an image... Exception: if I switch on after a short delay of time (after the last switch off) then no reboot.
    Philips, please, some help...

"Lip sync" issue still remains in some areas - when playing media from a USB in Media player and also third party Apps like Archos video player.
    I have 50PUT6400/12

For the first time in the 6550 TV, yesterday I started to have a weird YouTube problem.

When I play the clip, it goes on for around a second then video freezes. The sound goes on normally.
It never happened before, so may be the firmware-introduced bug.

It doesn't happen on every movie. Sometimes it helps when I click >> or << buttons. Quality (resolution) switching don't change anything - it doesn't like an unstable connection problem.
