26PFL5522D HDMI sound problem
I gave just bought a vga to hdmi converter to connect my laptop to the 26PFL5522D tv.
I cannot get sound and picture at the same time.
Connect the converter to HDMI 1 (or 2, it makes no difference) and select appropriate input via AV. Picture is fine, no sound just a quiet slow throbbing noise. But if I connect the laptop audio out to headphones instead then the sound is fine (that is, it is coming out of the laptop OK).
Connect audio to either ext 3 or 4 instead, no different. But if I select ext 3 or 4 (as appropriate) via AV then the sound is there, but no picture of course, which I think confirms that the sound leaves the laptop OK.
I think this all means that the problem must lie within the TV? Does anyone have any thoughts?
Phil
