    BDP7750 freeze

    Hi
Second time I have a same problem with my player. When I try to turn on this machine there is red power LED switched on only. Remote control does not work. When I tap power button on the box all four buttons are going to white and that is all what can I do. TV screen is completely black. A year ago I had a same problem and the player was reapered in service. They said that there was not broken anything. They did factory reset only. Maybe this time can I fix it myself? How can I do factory reset myself?

    Hi zensu,

Welcome to the forum, it’s good to have you here with us. It’s unfortunate to hear that your BDP7750 is doing this for the second time now. Have you tried to disconnect the power supply from the play for 5 minutes or more, then reconnect it, to see if this can help?
To apply the factory settings, please press (home) > [Setup] > [Advanced] > [Restore default settings], however, if you are unable to turn it on, this will not be possible.
Let me know how it goes.
    Have a nice day.

    Kind regards,
    Philips - Christoffer

Hi. Unfrtunately I cannot do this factory reset because the player doesn't respond to the remote. I tried numerous times to disconnect the power cable without any effect. Like I said before, I can only do one step, and that is to press the power button on the box. Is there any other way to fix this? Fixing the player in the service is not an option because I have no guarantee it won't brake again. The player is only 2 years old and when choosing a Philips product, I was thinking that this company cares about the quality of their products. If the service was able to fix it, how did they do it?

    Best Regards

    Hello zensu,

Thank you very much for clarifying that to me. In this situation, I have to recommend you to contact your local Philips Support center, so they can look further into this with you. There is nothing else I can do for you here on the forum, since we do not deal with repairs, exchanges or refunds.
Please reach out to your local support to hear what your options are, you can find their contact details here, choose your country, scroll down and click on Contact Philips.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a great day.

    Kind regards,
    Philips – Christoffer
