    B120S/10 - microphone problem

    My B120S/10 monitor has very poor microphone reception. If someone is talking loudly close to it (max. 30-50cm), you can hear it in application, but lower voices from 1m+ distance are not transmitted.
    It looks exactyl the same as in Windows desktop systems with "microphone boost" function disabled.
    Maybe this is a firmware issue? Monitor currently has 3.3.27 B120N firmware installed.
    The latest version of the firmware is probably 3.3.28, but in the application there is no information that the update is available.
    Resetting the device (by pushing the reset button for more than 10 seconds) does not change anything.
    Any ideas?

    I never used the microphone function - until now the monitor was only for video broadcasting. I understand that firmware version "B120N" is OK on my "B120S" device? Are both devices sharing the same frimware? If there is no other option to reset the device or force the reinstallation of the firmware, I think there is no way to fix the problem myself. Am I right?

    Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately there is no way to force the re installation of the firmware yourself. However, this shouldn't be a firmware issue, since the microphone is actually working, (it's only when you move further away from the monitor it doesn't pick it up) I would recommend you to see if there could be dust or something else blocking the microphone hole, otherwise there is not much we can try to do.
