    32PFS6401 Android 6 / Android 7

    Hi,

I would lilke to re-address this topic as the old thread for it has been closed while the response that Caroline promised is still pending.

The TV (32PFS6401/12) is already specified as being shipped with Android 6, but at least mine still has 5.x and I cannot find any update to it. It would be great to receive an update soon. Or will Android 6 be skipped and instead an update to Android 7 (or maybe even 8) be available, instead? Or will Android 6 be the last one?

And: When will the update to either of those be available?

It is really annoying to be stuck with 5.x as it limits the app choice to a much larger extent than with 6 or higher. Also, I would love to profit from security fixes that Google implemented during the last two years.

    Thanks and regards

    Phillips do something !!!
The problem is that there is no way to restart the Tv, and the biggest joke is that all inclusive apps only runs in 1280x720p , except one closes something by HDMI then goes 1080p, and believe me it is better to watch a netflix movie wthe the ps4 on this tv (HDMI=1080P Resolution), than with the internal netflix android AP (only 720p Resolution)....so this tv is actually only a HD Ready TV 720p......

    Hello,

32PFS6401/12 is not an Ultra HD television. That's why apps are not 4K.
This is the only 6401 series TV which is not UHD. If you look at eg. 43PUS6401/12- this is 4K TV and you will find 4K apps there.

I am sorry but no one has written here about 4K, i have written the 32PFS6401 / 12 only with an external device 1080p can represent, the software (menu), apps (NETFLIX YOUTUBE Kodi) runs only in 720p ... thus This TV actually only HD READY, and I hope this is fixed by update ....

    Hello,

We are planning to update 32PFS6401 straight to Android N. However at the moment I don't have any more specific information.
