3D glasses
I have scoured the Philips site to try and find a pair of 3D glasses for my BDP7500B2/05 but cannot find any. Will this player work with the various 'universal' Active shutter 3D glasses that are advertised? If not does anyone know where I can purchase a compatible pair please?
If the above does not apply is it my 3D TV (not philips) which I need to buy compatible glasses for rather than the DVD player?

Your TV generates the 3D picture, so yes the glasses must match the TV. The BDP is only the source, which is capable to send 3D info to the TV via HDM1.4 connection (be sure to use a HDMI1.4 comaptible cable).
