    Positive:

snappy, finally installed apps respect the correct order in homepage (the most used stays at left side)
seems that 4k cast is working (even at 30 fps instead of 60)

    Negative:

    - Still missing Android API 24/25 full support: with KODI/SPMC ARC passtrought there are always the same limitations no dts no HD audio formats etc , the same with changing refresh rate.

    - philips cheated to get youtobe working, they capped 60 fps video to 30 (Android tv with a crappy youtube support is ridicolus.)

    - Still there is no amazon video on italian philips app store neither playstore.

-Still no support for DD+ in netflix

I DO NOT understand the point to upgrade to android 7 without develop any API support level 24/25 ????
One thing is clear , philips don't want to support opensource projects neither the killer features that users expecting form philips tvs. And they sold crappy chipsets that are not able to support YT correctly ay 4k, no VP9 60 fps support neither vp9 High10 HDR
    Hello,

-API 24 / 25 Full support- Is not planned at the moment. We are going to clarity if this can be done or not.
-Youtube 60 fps- It was based on discussion with Google we had to configure for 30 fps so with Youtube V2 there was no playback possible. This will be enabled back once the Youtube V2 issues are fixed by Google.
-Amazon for Italy- It depends on Amazon APP to enable for all the countries. It will be the same app. Users are free to contact Amazon if they are interested in their country. We have informed Amazon about launch of Android Nougat release which has capability to support in all countries.
-Netflix- you need to connect an ARC device or change to Multichannel in the setting menu to get DD+ titles. Please ensure that you are running on the latest version of the Netflix APP

I think Caroline from Philips is mistaken, these TV’s do not send DD+ over ARC (From Netflix or Amazon) only standard DD.
There is a difference, DD+ means ‘Dolby Digital Plus’ or E-AC3.
These TVs only send DD ‘Dolby Digital’ or AC3 via ARC (and of course Optical)

There are only a few TV’s out there, mainly LG 2017 range and a few Sonys and Vizios that will send DD+ (and also therefor Atmos) over ARC/HDMI.

I wonder why Philips state “Support DD+ in Amazon App” ?
Do they mean it just decodes it now (for watching via TV speakers - in Stereo of course) or do they simply not know what DD+ is ??

    totally agree.

there is no evidence that dd+ is supported, maybe @caroline can point us to a netflix or amazon title that have dd+ audio , so can be proved that dd+ is sent on arc.

Please fix the KODI passthrough problem. It was working in the previous firmware, but with this, no sound in passthrough at all. (Kodi 17.4, wasn't changed).

For me, the Amazon app downloaded from the German store is working good (in Hungary). Maybe one confusing thing for experienced Netflix users, that you must choose the voice and subtitle language _before_ you start the movie, because you can't change it during playback (not like in Netflix).
