Hi Caroline, we still have a connectivity issue after this firmware update using Miracast. We tried 2 different laptops one with an Intel WiFi (Dual Band AC 7265) and also with another laptop using the Killer WiFi-n/a/ac 1525 Wireless Network Adapter. The connection sometimes doesn't work with Miracast, even after a TV restart and is very buggy. We did a few restart of both laptops and the TV, but sometimes it still does not connect. It is very unstable. Please can you escalate this to the technical team as we are using this TV to display demonstrations from laptops, USB is not an option for us. Thank you.

For now, the new update is fine. For the next update I would like you to update the Spain channels logos.

Hi, apparently this update should fix some issues with Wifi/Miracast (for my 50PUS6262/12 TV). However the upgrade doesn't show up on my tv when I try to update it via Internet - is the only way to update this to manually download the file & update via USB-stick or...?

I was looking for the update file as well, but couldn't find it right away, does the fact that I'm using the TV in Finnish (and the TV is currently in the Netherlands) play some role in the update process?

Now that I had the time to check it properly, I found the update...just have to find USB stick from somewhere (this is really...2005 of doing these updates, but let's hope it works).

    Thumbs down Still doesn't work?

...now that I've successfully updated the software, it still doesn't work :|

The update itself was OK, no errors- but when trying to connect via Miracast, the TV freezes (this happened with laptop) or returns to tv mode and shuts down Miracast source-windows (this happened with my LG g5 smartphone).

After a failed attempt I had to make soft rest (power cord off for 30 seconds) in order to get the TV visible on "listing of devices" on my smartphone/laptop (when they are trying to find compatible devices).

I also tried to add 2 photos (frozen connection attempt & the software version -info) but for some reason your great upload windows says that "version.jpg" is not a valid image file it opens normally on desktop anyways, greatness, all in all...

    Hi all,

Could you please confirm whether your devices (smartphones, laptops) are Miracast Certified?

    Hi,

the smartphone screen sharing worked just fine with my previous TV. And after a quick google it should be possible:

Sam here, Miracast is not working. Not on laptop (Asus Rog) not on mobile phones (LG Nexus 5x).

I have tried to reinstall the update, no result. I don't even get the loading screen in Miracast menu, just my computer saying that he could not connect.

Edit: Here you go, a picture

What am I doing wrong? A hundred factory resets, 2 updates, too much restarts and still nothing.

    Hi Caroline,

The devices are using Qualcomm WiFi chips - no, they are not certified miracast chips on the register but
    https://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder...c&companies=54
they are working on all other TV brands, no need to mention names

The laptops even perform with screen casting between each other in Windows 10.

If you can solve this problem with your firmware developers it will be very appreciated.

    Thank you!

Here is the PCI Hardware string for one of the laptops if it helps your developers:
    PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_003E&SUBSYS_15251A56&REV_20

Hi, its exactly the same problem, it tries to connect, but no luck, time out eventually or freezes. TV was hard booted (powered down), soft booted (powered off). This is definitely an issue with the Miracast implementation as it cannot be put down to such a variety of devices being "incompatible" just because they are not "Miracast certified" when those same devices work with Miracast on other TV brands and between each other for Windows 10 laptops.

Hi Caroline, any news on the Miracast issue? It's been a week. How long (approximately) will this take to fix? Kind Regards, Tony

I bought a new Philips TV and I can't use it. After switching channels 3 or 4 times the TV freezes. Black screen, the remote isn't working anymore. Reinstallation of the TV didn't solve the problem. Please Philips, do something! It's a lot of money for a useless device (6262).
