DCM377 - Problems with ID3 Tag
Hello,
I have just bought a DCM377 micro-hifi and everything seems fine except for a few problems with ID3 Tag display.
1) The unit does not remember the ID3 tag display setting. That is, you press the display button to show the ID3 Tag info but on moving to the next song the ID3 Tag disapears, which is very annoying...
2) The Artist and Album information is switched, meaning the Album shows the artist information and the Artist shows the Album information (not a big problem but a bit disapointing).
Is there anything I can do to get these two issues fixed?
Thank you,
Miguel

Hi Bubblepy,
I would firstly like to ask how you are playing back the music (USB or iPod)?
I would suggest that this is an issue with regards to how to ID3 tags are on your portable device rather than the HiFi as the unit itself has no 'memory' and can only display what is input.
I would also advise that the DCM377 is compatible with ID3 Tag version 2.0 and above.
Kind regards,

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your reply.
I forgot to mention that this happens when playing from a USB pen-drive. That being the case, it seems that the problem is with the hi-fi handling of ID3 tags.
May I add that the Artist <-> Album switch is not very problematic to me. The annoying behaviour is that:
1) I activate the ID3 tag display on the hi-fi, it shows the info on the screen
2) When the hi-fi moves on to the next song, it goes back to displaying only the track number.
Is this the expected behaviour or am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to make the hi-fi continue to display the ID3 tag info after moving to the next track?
Best regards,
Miguel Santos
