    Angry 43PUS6162/12 Very slow+USB issues

    Hello,

    recently I bought Philips TV 43PUS6162/12 and after three days of using I ran into very annoying problems.

    First is that TV responsed extremely slowly while browsing the digital channels, menu etc. Wait time of an remote control action is sometimes 15sec+. The LED blinks when I press the button on the remote control, but TV just like freezes. It is hard to setup perfect picture or even to adjust the picture with such wait time.

    Another big issue is with removable USB HDD, it is perfectly compatible with other TVs, PCs etc. While I watch a movie it plays fine, if the movie ends I get back onto Folder screen, but I can not play any other movie/picture with error "File Format Not supported". I tried to reconnect the USB HDD, tried multiple USB ports but then TV won't even detect the HDD (not even any other USB device), I have to unplug the TV's power cord and plug it back in. After I perform the power cord unplug, the device is found and I can play again a movie or view the pictures. As soon as the movie ends it repeats. It is really annoying to watch and plug/unplug TV every time movie ends.

    I am using the latest software. Tried reinstall, Factory Defaults and Repeatedly reinstalled the TV. Also tried to unplug all the devices, power cord, wait and plug back in. Nothing solves the issue.

    Can you please give me advice in order to fix this issue? Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    Could you please tell us what is the exact software version installed on the TV? Also we will need signal strenght and quality (to get this, please press options button, and select Status)

    Would it be possible to send us information,about file you have tried to play on the TV? You can use Mediainfo software to get specific information about video.

    Hello,

    it doesn't matter which file, it does it for all the formats, avi mkv mp4 everything, it plays once and then does the stuff I described above. I am sure this is not USB device issue, since it works everywhere else, I would question the usb device in case Reconnecting the usb cable would help, but unplug and plug power cord is really annoying in order to watch movies / series continuously.

    Delay between browsing the TV channels might be the signal issue, but how about the delays while setting up TV ? Like Settings -> Picture / General setting or any other settings. 15 second wait time to move cursor from Picture settings to sound settings is way too much, isn't it ? Basically any button, Sources, settings, home etc (I understand delay for smart tv button since it has to load the apps etc) but for basic stuff this shouldn't be that long.

    Release version: TPM177E_012.002.070.061
    PQ: Flash PQ V0.89 170925
    AQ: Flash AQ V0.05 170218

    Those are common problems with that type of TV, just read the connected SW experience forums and REPLY please.

    Many questions and no answer , im really disappointed...
