DLNA Troubles
I've been trying to make a profile for use with Plex Media Server so that it will play nice with the BDP 5200. I modified some other dudes profile and so far I've got this:
<Clients>
<Client name="PHILIPS BDP5200/12">
<!-- http://download.p4c.philips.com/file...12_pss_aen.pdf -->
<!-- http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...4091&faqview=1 -->
<Identification>
<Header name="User-Agent" substring="IPI/1.0 UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50" />
</Identification>
<Settings>
<Setting name="LocalQualityCap" value="12" />
<Setting name="RemoteQualityCap" value="12" />
</Settings>
<TranscodeTargets>
<VideoProfile container="asf" codec="wmv2" audioCodec="wmav2" />
<PhotoProfile codec="jpeg" />
</TranscodeTargets>
<DirectPlayProfiles>
<VideoProfile container="avi" codec="mpeg4,h264,wmv3,vc1" audioCodec="ac3,dca,mp2,mp3,pcm_u8"/>
<VideoProfile container="asf" codec="wmv2,wmv3,vc1,mpeg2" audioCodec="wmav2,wmapro,ac3"/>
<VideoProfile container="mov,mp4,m4v,h264" codec="h264,mpeg4" audioCodec="ac3,aac,mp3"/>
<VideoProfile container="mpeg" codec="mpeg1video,mpeg2video" audioCodec="ac3,dca,mp2,mp3,pcm_u8"/>
<VideoProfile container="mkv" codec="h264,mpeg,mpeg2,mpeg4,wmv3,vc1" audioCodec="ac3,dca,aac,mp2,mp3,pcm_u8"/>
<VideoProfile container="mpegts" codec="h264,vc1,mpeg2video" audioCodec="ac3,dca,mp2,mp3"/>
<PhotoProfile codec="jpeg,png,gif,bmp,tiff"/>
</DirectPlayProfiles>
<CodecProfiles>
<VideoCodec name="mpeg4">
<Setting name="MaxResolution" value="1280x720"/>
<Setting name="MaxFps" value="30"/>
<Setting name="MaxBitRate" value="5120"/>
</VideoCodec>
<VideoCodec name="h264">
<Setting name="MaxResolution" value="1920x1080"/>
<Setting name="MaxFps" value="30"/>
<Setting name="MaxBitRate" value="15360"/>
<Setting name="MaxH264Profile" value="4.1"/>
</VideoCodec>
<VideoCodec name="wmv2,wmv3,vc1">
<Setting name="MaxResolution" value="1920x1080"/>
<Setting name="MaxFps" value="30"/>
<Setting name="MaxBitRate" value="15360"/>
</VideoCodec>
<PhotoCodec name="jpeg">
<Setting name="MaxResolution" value="4096x4096"/>
</PhotoCodec>
<PhotoCodec name="png,gif,bmp,tiff">
<Setting name="MaxResolution" value="2048x2048"/>
</PhotoCodec>
</CodecProfiles>
</Client>
</Clients>
It may not be a 100% accurate but I tried it out hoping that it would at least play avi files without transcoding. Well this is what happens:
Sorry about the loud breathing noise and the clock sounds I was actually NOT breathing heavily the mic is just super sensitive.
It blinks like that at the bottom until it times out and freezes and the only thing I can do is restart it.
Am I missing something here?
I would looove to make plex and my bdp 5200 play nice together, that way I could lessen the cords from the computer room to the living room at least by one.
Sincerely
