BDP5200 start up

My new bluray player doesn't start up. It Will stay in its setting menu. I've hooked it up on 2 diferent television, 1 Philips smart led tv an à Samsung HD ready led tv. On both THE tv's i'll see THE Philips bluray start up screen. After that THE screen remains black. THE Philips tv shows no videosignal. The Samsung shows now and then à blink of à purple screen.
Correct me of i am wrong but i believe that the player is broken.
By the way i've installed the 1.35 firmware on it.

If you have a new player and tried with a different cable already then I would suggest to go back to the dealer/service

i have the same problem i have not updated the firmware at all, my philips tv just states no video signal, the tv is tuned in to the bdp and when i press the start button on the player the player switiches on for about 3 seconds then goes off, the the tv says.....you guess it...no video signal.
