System Crashed: Can't read system Installation Disc
My system crashed and I need to re-install my np2500 system software. I have Windows Seven and my system will not read the installation disc. I have two immediate problems:
1. How can I get a copy of the installation disc that I can use with Windows7? I contacted Philips System Support and the agent(Virginia) indicated that they didn't support 3-4 year old systems so no luck there.
2. I had an internet radio station stored using StreamiumManagement which no longer is accessable in which I inserted the following URL (http://amber.streamguys.com:4840/listen.pls) which I need to be recognized again and permit me to listen to that station again.
Can anyone help me on these? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Sincerely
toocheap2call@aol.com George

Hi
Can you elaborate what you mean by system crashed? Does it mean you have a problem on the PC SW or the NP 2500 stopped functionaing? What does the NP 2500 display show after power on?

The hard drive crashed and I got a new hard drive and upgraded from Windows to Windows7. The Windows7 (W7) SW could/would not read the STREAMIUM installation disc.(The verbiage on the disk indicates that it is to be run using WINDOWS or VISTA). I continually received errors when attempting to read the installation disc.
When I turn on the NP2500 I get the STREAMIUM sign-on screen, then "thanks for buying the product" and I'm told to register my product at philips.com/welcome. I knew that I used the installation disk when I first installed the software so I attempted to do that before RE-registering my unit.
Any suggestions?

Hi !
You should not need to re-register your NP2500, but there's no harm if you do it (and you do not need to install anything on your PC for registering the NP2500 at all).
To get a copy of the content of your CD,. please browse to www.philips.com and search for NP2500 and go to the Support page. There you shall find links to the software on the CD that you can download directly to your Win7 machine.
Cheers !

Hi !
Eh, the Router Id (I am not sure what you refer to here) and its password are definitely information you must keep to yourself.
You need to provide the registration id of your NP2500 if you want to re-register it (it should not be needed to do this though).
And of course you have to provide your username & password for the Philips website
Cheers !
