media connect website down...? For days on end...?
A few days ago I attempted to reconect the wifi media connect feature on my blu ray player. I checked the website www.wifimediaconnect.phillips.com several times, but each time I got a notification that the site was down. This evening I checked again, and haven't gotten any further than a few days ago. What's going on?

This seems a bit ridiculous.
Got my Philips telly earlier this week and I must say my relationship with Philips hasn't begun well.
From what I can gather from other posts, the download site has been offline for almost a month.
I paid good money for the USB dongle so I could use the wireless capabilities on my telly, so I'd expect to get something for my money.
Seems a bit ridiculous that Philips hasn't even been able to give us a rough timetable for a fix. A temporary download location would be even better.
Furthermore, since the program is free anyway, why have they put it behind such a complicated system? If the program was included in the CD-rom I got with the USB dongle, fine, but no, it's just a hyperlink to a site that does not work.
Wee bit frustrated about this issue, as you might decipher from my message, but I think I'm entitled to be frustrated along with everyone else who is plagued by this problem.
Edit #1: Is there a 3rd party software available that's able to connect my Windows laptop to the USB WiFi dongle on my television and transmit the desktop screen to it, or is this piece of software the only one capable of doing it?Last edited by Lajehto; 03-08-2012 at 01:18 PM.

Just so you all know, the website's working again. Atleast it was on Monday.
Thought some of you might want to know this, seeing as Philips hasn't bothered to let you all know about this.

If you have a media server of some sort installed on your PC, yes. Tversity is one of the more popular ones if I'm not mistaken.
