Dailymotion
Hello,
as I discovered today, dailymotion is no longer available on NetTV for the older TVs. The icon is greyed out and the crossing was added to the icon.
When I try to start it, I get an english message: "App not accessible", with the text: "The App you are trying to access uses newer features not available on this product."
Seems, that the 2010 TVs like mine (42PFL7695K/02) are outdated and too old now. For my feeling, this is a little fast, since I bought this TV in January this year and now in April (3 months later) the first applications are no longer available.
Not sure, what happens, when more and more applications are no longer available. More in general, when can one say, this is a case for guarantee, when the advertised features are not available.
First application is removed 3 months after buying, videostore seems to be vaporware, maybe more applications follow when the new SmartTV introduces new features...
I think, we are here in a dependency from Philips. I'm also unsure how long the availability of the "real" internet is guaranteed. Since all internet traffic is routed through Philips proxies, you won't be aable to access the internet when Philips shuts down its servers.

Saw the message too on my 40PFL8605.
But to be honest, Dailymotion has been messed up for many, many months. Or it wouldn't start at all (just the yellow bar filling till the end, and then nothing happens) or if it would start, the navigation inside the app was all wrong/not working.

Same in Italy. It's a shame.

DailyMotion (temporarily) down.
Due to ongoing problems with the DailyMotion App (well reported in this forum) we (temporarily) had to take it down.
The App is still functioning on 2009 TV's.
The DailyMotion provider is working on a solution.Forum Mod

DailyMotion has improved their application!
Net TV users with 2009 TV’s can already use it.
We are now installing it back for all devices.
(TIP: Choose channels/funny, some great stuff in there!)Forum Mod

On my Net TV home-page I still saw DailyMotion with a cross (not operational). I went into the App-gallery and when I was back on the homepage, the cross in DailyMotion was gone. It is back and working now.
Thank you Philips!

Hi,
I tried the new version with my 2010 model. It is really an improvement in usability.
Great app, some great videos! It is really good, that there are HD videos also available! This is better than in youtube.

PS: There were no problems that I had to start the app store before. It worked for me right out of the box.Last edited by smart; 04-16-2011 at 07:22 AM. Reason: Added PS

At the end Dailymotion is working!!!
Is possible to choose even the HD videos in Daily Motion.
Unfortunately You Tube in NET TV doesn't permit this choice at the moment.

It is working here now.

Dailymotion in NetTV is better than Youtube, IMO.

Not working again.
Latest 140 firmware, 37PFL7605H/12 TV.
In the center area of the screen (where images should appear) it displays "Loading" and... nothing.
Always "Loading" forever, even when selecting other menu options at the left side of the screen.

I tried and can't confirm. It worked for me today without problems. Maybe you can retry and describe a little more detailed what you are doing when experiencing problems?

I'm doing nothing specific, just entering Dailymotion.
No images/pictures show up at the central area, just a grey background and "Loading".
The menus at left are complete, you can browse through them but always "Loading", nothing loads.
