    Streamium WAC700/05 Boot Problems

After years of faithful service my Streamium WAC700 is refusing to move past "BOOTING PLEASE WAIT ".
I can hear the hard drive start and start to load then nothing. The eprom check is OK and the other diagnostics show normal.
The boot sector is shown as corrupt but refuses to reload from backup. Any ideas?

Same problem with my WAC700/22. Suddenly does not go anymore over "Booting" screen. Planned obsolescense?
Or does there exist any RESET functionality?

    Hi Sarka

    Thanks for your quick response.
Unfortunately, the link you provided does not work. - Besides, I suppose this solution only works, when the WAC starts up and the "Menu" can be opened.
But, as I already wrote, my center keeps standing (endlessly) on "Booting Up Please Wait".
Other user's tips did not help either:
    - Reset Eeprom
    - Reset Firmware (this function starts, but never finishes)

    What else can I do?
    Thomas

i have had this problem for the past year or so now and not able to use the machine l paid alot of money for the unit l purchased a few years ago brand new it was over 1000 euros was perfect for the first 4 or 5 years then nohting l dont wanna throw it out there must be a way to fix it surely !! my warranty ran out so it would cost me more to fix it then its currently worth, trouble is it looks brand new ! peeded off to say the least ! think Phillips have washed their hands of this unit and cant be bothered with it!
