    Philips soundbar htl-6140b - no sound from any source

    I have purchased the Philips Sound bar HTL 6140B a week ago. I got it connected and installed correctly and it was working fine and i was able to get the sound from all sources like, AUX, BT and HDMI.

    However while I was playing AUDIO through the BT source the sound suddenly went off completely as if it was set to MUTE. I have never been able to get the sound thereafter from any SOURCE whatsoever.

    I have tried performing a factory RESET as per the manual instructions but problem continues to persist.

    The sound bar does not even provide the connection BEEP when it connects to a BT source.

    Please help.... as it not even a week since the purchase of this new product.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're not able to get any sound on your HTL6140b. If the reset didn't work (please try it one more time), we might have to repair it for you. Could you be be so kind as to send me a PM with your contact details?

    Hello Sami,

    Thanks for the revert. I have already tried the RESET multiple times across the past 2-3 days now. I had accordingly lodged the complaint with the customer care on Saturday itself and the technicians were at my place to inspect the same.

    Finally they have decided to take it in for service.

    This was my first PHILIPS consumer product and its a big turn of that a product costing close to INR 35K is not able to deliver within its first week of operation itself.

    While I was extremely pleased and impressed with the overall sound delivery of the soundbar but admittedly this does put a serious question mark on the overall build quality of the product!!!

    I am now awaiting a response from the service center on the further line of action.

    Spoke to the authorised service centre yesterday as a follow up to my service complaint. I was informed that the main SOUNDBAR unit which was taken in for service checks post my complaint, is due to be REPLACED completely by the company due to some inherent faults.

    I am expecting the new unit by Saturday 25th July 2015. Will update once the new replacement is received and tested thereafter.
