It seems that the upgrade files are dated on 17-02-2012. Wonder why it took 2 weeks to upload them. I'm afraid it's another "just removed a function" upgrade...

I found the file when i googled the firmware number: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...1_198.173.3.37
It seems though that this file is for PFL7956, but are the fimrware identical? Will it work for my PFL9956?

Don't think so but you can download it directly from your tv's download page:

I see one improvement: the text on the "Multi-view" page is fixed now (displays correctly).

Those files did not work. Maybe I need a norway specific firmware? I only found english and a bunch of other firmwares..
Wonder why there was no norwegian version on that site..

Hi,
as mentioned by Philips - Thomas in the old thread, I also suggest the following with this software:
Please perform a COLD REBOOT after updating the firmware (plug out the power cord for 2-3 minutes)!
Some questions to the users:
- is the duplicated entry in the option menu in the channel list fixed?
- does the CI-Modul menu work again?

Have Ever tested.
After factory reset, I have taken 30 minutes from the stream. When reconfiguring the device is simply turned off, great, a new error!
My findings:
Natural Motion bug is still present, although not activated after a restart on the menu.
Still image flashes.
Picture pumping continues.
Pattern as in dark gray pictures ass antlers still exists.
It is simply cruel, what you stand with this high end device needs long after this time!
Sorry, am really depressed!
