46PFL9706T - screen sometimes goes black

Hi,

I have a Philips 46PFL9706T (from November 2011) which sometimes behaves a bit badly. Sometimes it does not respont to the remote (hard to both turn on and off).

But most annoying: Quite often it "flickers" by temporarily turning the screen (and the ambilight and the sound) down for a second, before going back on again. This topped itself today, when the screen almost went completely dark (could faintly see the menus if I turned the menus on with my remote) with no sound. Ambilight, however, was on and changed (so apparantly it got the input from my DVR).

Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do? Or do I have to return the TV on Guarantee and wait (im)patiently for it to be fixed?

Hello,

ask for infos to your local Philips support center in order to understand if it could be a sw or hw problem.

Then you could decide what to do.
