SA2VBE04K power on 1 of 100
SA2VBE04K doesn`t power on(shows "philps"). After several resets it does, but a few seconds later it off. Songbird can`t connect to update server, when I try to repair. Is there any way to manual download firmware and "tell" songbird to use file instead of pulling it from the web?

make sure you are using the latest songbird version.
i hv tried before it works after re-installing the songbird...
but for your case, does a simple firmware upgrade works?

since there is nothing like you said dl firmware and then put it in songbird or put it in your device directly...
firmware/ repair cannot be done if this is not recognize by songbird...
not sure if you can still power on your device after reset. if you can do so, maybe you can try format your player to factory setting to see if this gives some magic.

No, it can`t power on, just shows "philips" forever. In case it start, internal format immediately reset player.

generic diagnostic steps go like this:
Reset: You can wake your device up by inserting a sharp object, (pen tip is advised) into the RESET button on the side of your players.
Factory setting: Go SETTINGS in your device> FACTORY SETTINGS (only if you are able to switch on device)
Format: Via Songbird: Songbird> Click on your device in “DEVICES” pane on the left > TOOLS tab > FORMAT
Repair: Songbird> TOOLS on top menu> REPAIR MY DEVICE
* Make sure you locate the volume + button
*Make sure you follow the on-screen instruction of firmware upgrade & repair
*switch off your player, plug the player in while hold the Vol+ key firm enough until the pop-up windows disappear and repair process start
Error Console:If all above does not help, capture Error Console and contact support:
Songbird > TOOLS on top menu > Error Console
Make sure your player is not disconnected during upgrade/format/ repair,
If the connection keeps on breaking, try another USB port & USB cable
If there’s any interruption/ disconnection, you can wake your device up by inserting a sharp object (pen tip is preferred) into the reset button on the side of your players. Make sure you feel like it ticks.
If the above does not work, try uninstall Songbird, download and reinstall again
www.philips.com/songbird
go to service/ call call centre/ go back if alllllllllll does not help

Hi can you try on a different PC. Don´t know which operating system you are using but would be good to test in a different environment. Maybe something goes wrong on the back ground.....
