And finally like magic the player can play TV recordings from german public stations like ARD, ZDF, Arte without re-encodig. Note that the change in supported formats is not mentioned in the release notes and change lists of the firmware. After more than a year this device does what I haveit purchased for. Thanks Philips but a bit more speed in update would not be bad.

Hi,
it seems, that Main@L4.0 is now supported. I also noticed that on my BDP9600 (2010 device).

Does any of the firmware-updates implement the Cinavia-System?
My Player has the original 1.50 Firmware and the manual does not mention this new copyright-system.
But as other BR-player-manufacturers implement Cinavia in the following firmware-updates, I would like to know, if this is also the case with Philips-Players, as my BDP5180.
And because some changes seem not to be mentioned, see postings #4+5, I would like to know, if anyone knows, if Cinavia has "secretly" been implemented .
