try to install firmware 14.93...
What 3D content are you watching?

Hi mantax,
for you as well... Do you have any other light sources around the TV in addition to the ambilight? I´ve read that other light sources may have got an (negative) effect on the 3D sensors built in the TV...

Perfect Contrast fix for 3d crosstalk
Hi there,
Have you tried turning the "Perfect Contrast" feature on while watching 3D? According to the Digital Versus review:
"Oddly, we found that turning on the 'Perfect Contrast' feature reduced the appearance of crosstalk—interference between the signals for the left and right eye. It did such a good job, in fact, that this Philips TV isn't far behind Panasonic, whose TVs are widely admired as the best in the game."
I personally do not have the PFL9706 but am seriously considering purchasing it. Apart from the price, my main reservation is the 3D performance with some reviews saying it is the best active shutter LCD but others saying it is
disappointing.
I would be interested to hear if this Perfect Contrast "fix" works for you.
Regards,

I would also be very grateful if anybody is able to share their opinions/experience of 3D gaming on the PFL9706. Much Crosstalk/Ghosting? If I were to buy the set, my main use of 3D would be for my PS3.
Thanks

For me it helped if you lower the sharpness in picture to 1. That helped with the cross-talk, but picture is less sharp now.

When change is done you must press play to see the change.Last edited by pip; 01-26-2012 at 09:06 PM.
