    New DockStudio is available

For our Docking speakers, a DockStudio apps has been launched to replace the former Fidelio apps.
Please find the improvement made to the apps.

    * With Fidelio apps, the app has to be kept open after setting the alarm in order to have the alarm working. With DockStudio, the alarm will still work even if the App is closed after setting the alarm
    * Date format improvement
    * Stability improvement
    * Fix for music metadata issue

Remember that the apps can downloaded in Apple App Store and Google Play

    Unhappy Where to get Support???

I have updated the App to its new version, but the last days the sleeptimer won't work: it will not sleep...
In my case this means that my I can easily wake up in the middle of night and still here my iPad playing my audiobook...
With music this would not be a real problem as most albums reach an end at a certain time, but audiobooks can go on for some time.
I tried the App Support button in the Appstore, but that just brings me to the general Philips site where it asks me to register my products . Not very helpfull.

I have checked the link you have provided and also checked the settings. These were all OK.
In a second step I did a small experiment, running the sleeptimer from DockStudio with the iPad in "active" and running the sleeptimer with the SmartCover closed. This gave a surprising result:
The new DockStudio will not work properly with the SmartCover closed (and the iPad inactive). Which makes it not very usefull, since I want the iPad to be in the Fidelio dock, running the sleeptimer, but I do not want the iPad to light up my bedroom (so that's why I close the Smartcover). The old Fidelio app worked perfectly with the SmartCover closed.

So for me the new app is not an improvement.
    Hopefully this helps.

On a second note: it would be nice if the "App Support" button would actually bring you to a support page. It now points to nothing really usefull (and as a Philips employee myself, I believe we want to improve our customer focus, so this would be a good start).

    Regards, SWB

    Dear SWB,

Just to clarify: 1) you have the DockStudio under notification and 2) you have Banner, Sound, Badge all on for DockStudio, right?
With these settings and with the SmartCover covered your iPad, the alarm does not work, right?

Yes, the App Support should be link to Philips Support page and the Software engineer is working on that.

    Kind regards,

So far als I know there is no problem with waling up (the alarm click). My problem is with going to sleep :-) I use the sleeptimer to listen to music or an audiobook. In that case the app will not stop playing when the smartcover is closed.

    Dear SWuBbe,

For this issue, our software engineer said there should be a dialog box telling consumers not to exit the apps/put the apps to the background so as to have the sleep timer functioned. This is now lacking in iOS5.1. We will make the dialog box available by the next release. Meanwhile, we are studying if the sleep timer will function when the app isn't in active.

If there's any issue, please do not hesitate to let us know. Thanks.

    Alarm not working

We have just purchased 2 x DS1200 Docks to use as alarm clocks in our bedroom. We both have iphone 4s. When we place these on the dock with the alarm set the light on the clock says that the alarm is on by showing the alarm icon. When we turn the app off or the phone goes into standby mode the alarm icon dissapears. We have all the notifications etc on.
The alarm works but the app has to stay on.... This is not what it says it should do re this new app????

Even though the alarm doesn't sound the notification banner comes up when the alarm is supposed to go and buzz's once when the phone is docked. This is showing that the alarm is still in the backround just not talking to the clock.

If we cannot get this to work we will have to take the clocks back to where we purchased as we want to use the as alarm clocks as previously mentioned?

    Anything you can recommened?

    Thanks

    Justin

    Dear BIGJV,

    Sorry for my delayed response.

Could you please check the settings in your iPhone?
Under Notifications > DockStudio, have you put all setting as ON?

    Kind regards,
