    USB Records - FAST Forward

How is it possible to fast forward, in a existing record, more than a timestep of 20seconds?
If i have a movie with 120min. its a everlasting procedure to forward at 85min for example.
Even my old VHS-Recorder was quicker than my new digital TV with harddisk?!?
