Strange playback error on my HTB9550D/12

    Hey guys

I'm experience a strange playback error on my HTB9550D/12 Home Cinema system.

Just a few weeks ago I bought the Breaking Bad Season 1-4 DVD box (PAL, region 2). I can play the season 1-2 without any problems and also disc one in the third season but disc 2-4 stops right after the warnings and right when it's should change chapters to the episode. It just stops and I can't do anything beside push the standby bottom, I can't push menus, eject etc.

I thought it was the discs so I went to the shop and got it replaced, but I still get the same error. I've tried to play the disc in my computers DVD drive and it work just fine. I've also tried another brand DVD player at my work - also no problems here.
I do have the latest firmware and haven't had any other problems playing either DVD, CD or Blu Ray discs.

I have written the Danish Philips support, who said that they couldn't do much but they will open a case for the error but they couldn't promise that there will be a firmware fix for this and if there where - it could take many months.

The HTB9550D/12 is a top end product and weren't cheap so I hope there's fix for this error.

So if any have a suggestion for a fix please let me know

Hi, I believe that the playback issue is due to software. I would recommend you to drop a post in this tread: http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...t-playing-back

Due to the age of the product, I would be very surprised if there is not a new software release very soon.
