Increasing number of non-readable Blurays
Hi there,
it seems like my BDP9600 is getting real problems with reading new Blurays. Within the last 4 weeks, I bought 6 Bluerays of which 4 were rejected by the player by making odd noises and showing "unknown disc" on the display. Of course the BD player is updated to the current euro-version (1.63).
The discs were:
"Sex and Zen", EAN 4013575595594
"Surrogates - Collector's Edition", EAN 8717418320355
"Gladiator - 10th Anniversary Edition", EAN 5050582772098
"Ohne Limit", EAN 4010324037992
As the amount of unplayable discs seem to increase, I'd like to know whether anybody else can confirm this as a general problem. So if anybody of you own these BDs and they play fine or don't - please give a feedback!
Best regards & thanks in advance,
Daniel

this sounds like a loader issue, and seems time to go service.

Thanks for your reply, kwinnie - but I'm wondering: shouldn't a loader issue be an intermittent problem, each time with a different BD...?

yes true, this is what I thought also until I m told by the moderator "unknown disc" error code is just for the loader issue...
also by the experience of some other users, they have "unknown disc" error just to 1 or 2 disc... bringing the device back to service and exchanging the loader cure the issue.
think may be you can try also.
