HTS8562/12 problem sound with Bluray
Hello
would you please help me .
I already return the first device and I just get one month later a new one for an exchange and it seems this one have the same issue . When reading a Bluray , there is a very bad back sound like ( toc.toc.toc.toc ......) when I select syncr Audio and do down to 190 the noice disapeared but the thing is that I can valid the value 190 when I press OK that cancel the change and sync come back to 200 and then bad noise come again.
Is it possible to do somthing or did I ready have a very bad experience with devices with the same issue.
Do I have to ask to be reemburse ??
Thanks for your help
Sophil

The sound problem is in the automatic calibration. It is a software bug. You only get a good sound when the front speakers, the center speaker and the subwoofer adjust in the same distance. You have to put the rear speakers also in the same distance. My settings are:
Front speakers 3,9 m
Center speaker 3,9 m
Subwoofer 3,9 m
Rear speakers 1,2 m
With these settings your problem is solved. Although it should work wilt automatic calibration. There are a lot of software bugs in the system, I hope Philips will resolve these problems in a short term.

As you say this is useful but not the solution.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hopefully Philips is already working on it.

With the settings that's works , but was expected for a higher quality from Philips. Hope to receive a corrected driver soon.
Would be nice to informed the technical people from Philips in all country , I had to ask to replace the first device and without the answer from Ram1111. I'd ask to be pay back and buy another home cinema from competition . Still room to improve the quality from Philips ,if they want to keep their clients .

Hi guys, seems that this problem had been addressed now with a new 1.27 MCU 5.05 firmware released 22-03-2012.
I personally never noticed any cracking sound but now after the update I notice that the rear speakers have been toned down and are barely hearable when watching for example a TV broadcast.
I described my findings in a new thread, see the link below, I don't know if it has anything to do with the wireless module I use for the rear speakers.

I wonder if you have updated and if you also experience the new problem with the low volume of the rear speakers.

Hi Christophe,
I opened another thread specific on this new issue with new firmware with MCU 5.05:
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...0257#post30257
Could you tell me, do you also use the wireless module for the rear speakers?
