Hi,

if the message "unknown disc" appears, it often indicates that the Loader is having issues. This can only be solved by sending the player to repair... at least the is the outcome of reading the post inside the forum... ;-)

the "loader" is the part of the BDP to read the BDs. If "unknown disc" is shown, this indicates, that this part of your player is partly broken and needs to be fixed.
