Apple Remote with DS3020/ 05 speaker dock
Hi there
I am considering buying the DS3020 and i've noticed that it doesn't have a remote control - I'm not sure whether i'd really use one anyway but i'd like to have the option to buy one later if i do miss it.
Apparently the Apple Remote would operate my iphone but only if the docking station has infra red. I can't see anything about infra red in the specification...
Can anyone tell me if they've used an apple remote sucessfully with this model? Or another remote?
Thanks very much
Vicky

I haven't tried it yet but I'm 99% sure that it would work. Maybe would be a good suggestion to be considered to have a remote included.

thanks backhandguga. i got the speakers for my birthday but not thought about the remote yet. It would be a good suggestion, i agree

Actually i have another question - all is working great on the mains power and i tried the batteries today - they are new duracell with the energy buttons on the side so you can see how much is left and they are definitely powered up, but the unit doesn't work without mains power, i can't get the batteries to work at all.
Before i send it back might i have missed something? i've swapped the batteries round and turned the unit on and tapped 'play' on my iphone. Don't understand why my batteries aren't working!
Thanks
Vicky

Dear Vicky,
Using batteries should work. Please make sure 1) your batteries are not drained and 2) make sure you do not plug your Aux in cable at the back of your player even if it is not connected to wall outlet.
When you use the main power, it is better for you not to put batteries inside your player.
Kind regards,
