Speaker Volume at startup
Hi.
I have 4 years old TV 42pfl9603h10. It is working without any failure. Ambilight and the quality of the Picture are excellent.
One suggestion; Speaker volume is remembering the previous shutdown level and uses it as the starting level. Not good.
Could it be so that the starting level is always the one set during the installation, or set later manually. This is because:
- The TV is closed often at the evening with lots of noise. The level about 19 ... 23. You never remember to set it lower before the shutdown.
- The TV is opened every morning quite early, while some are still sleeping. In mornings, the volume is always huge too high and because the Volume button starts working just until too many seconds, the others are awaking, before you are able to switch the speakers lower.
- Your ears are used to silence during the night and the starting level about 20 sounds ill.
So the software setting could be: Speaker Volume at startup, Previous level (as today) or Set the level: Previous, 01...50
I think this won't cause problems to anybody, but may help many.
I have not checked this from the new models. If not yet applied, please concider this.
My next TV is probably again Philips, and I look forward seeing this in that... Also, great if launched to my current model.

Hi Tuomo,
sorry to say but that will not gonna happen.
We discussed such things a lot of Time but having a fixed Sound Level is not what we are going to implement.

Hi again
Mybe a bit unclear wrote.
I just did not suggest the fixed level as the only choise, but an extra option. So for those who like the current method, they just choose that (or that could be the default).
