46PFL8505K: How to connect to network and NAS?
Hi there!
I got myself a Synology DS411+II and was planning to - among other tasks - hook it up to my 46PFL8505K/2.
Yet so far not only the DS (disk station) cannot be found, yet there's also no network connection (whilst logging on to the www works fine most of the time).
I have FW Q5551-0.140.47.0 installed.
The DS brought along a media server, yet I guess the main issue is the network connection, right?
Both appliances are supposed to support UPnP and DNLA...
They are connected to a LAN-Network using dLAN.
> Why does www work but no network?
> Which vital part am I missing?
Who can shed some light on the issue?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your message.
Alas, you seemed to have been a bit too confident: you reply was the only one...
I got a WiFi dongle today and with it all, well at least the above-mentioned, issues are solved.
Logging on to the network went smoothly and the data on my NAS was accessible immediately.
However: can it really be that I have to convert all my .AVI to .MPEG albeit compatibility being listed in the screen's manual?
Cheers!

Hi
just use the tool "mediainfo" to analyse your videofiles, out of this tool you can find all the infos, written in the user manual, there you can see what you need to change.
