Control your ambilight with JSON (2011 TVs)

The new JSON interface for the 2011 TVs also allows to control the ambilight.

Below is a quick hack of a test code if you want to play with it.
Just set the right IP address of your TV.

Then set the mode to "manual" and control each pixel with a colourpicker.

Currently, only 1 layer of pixels is supported. If you have one of these more fancy TVs, feel free to adapt the code

1) set the right IP address
2) set Ambilight mode from "internal" to "manual"

There still seems a bug in the JSON implementation:
For my 7606, I can only control the left side of the ambilight - the right side stays black.
Maybe you can test it and give feedback here with your experiences and your TV.

And maybe someone who actually CAN do GUI design, feel free

Actually, on jointspace.sf.net, two example URLs were posted of interfaces for Ambilight and Audio, which are directly stored on the TV:

However, still I cannot control the right side Ambilight. Indeed seems to be a bug in the 7606K firmware. Please fix :-)

I have the same issue. The right side doesn't work when I try to set custom the ambilight input. This API feature is really great and can be used for many purposes. It would be really nice if the bug get fixed.
