    Hello

My 52PFL8605D can play mkv from usb device but don't have sound.
If I try to stream from a pc (linux with mediatomb as dnla server) the tv doesn't recognize the format :-(
    Current firmware: Q5552-0133.3.0

    Any hints, solutions?

If you will play a movie on MKV format of 4GB and up, you might get this type of problem. I usually use 2GB videos instead.

    Hi,

maybe you should first update your TV to the latest firmware via USB stick. (DTS sound is not supported at all)

    Thanks tripodzid

Yes you're right!! Reading from usb with sound does work if file is <4GB..
Do you know if this problem persists on newer firmware or only in the old one?

Over net I cannot read the same mkv file it does not recognize it. But a Sony demo I can show
What I see is that the sony demo was created with an old creater. Here are the data.
I noticed also that on linux file <file> does not identify my own mkv as Matroska data.
Could this be the same problem, that new Matroska creater changed the tag of file
which is not recognized from prog nor TV?
