Displayed information when reading mp3
Hello,
I may have surely missed the feature setting but why my MCI730 does display the artist name, the Album name and even the artwork from the MP3 ID Fields BUT why does it still use the filename of the MP3 as the song title and not the embedded information.
Regards

Hi !
Sounds like a messed-up MP3 Tag.
Drop me a PM if you are willing to send me (I will give you my e-mail as a reply to your PM) one of your problematic MP3 files so I can inspect it and check what's wrong with it.
Cheers !

Unfortunately, my ID3 are ok. But you helped me to move one step further.
As a matter of fact, mp3 filenames are displayed instead of ID3 song names when I stream them from my UPNP server. When the same mp3 a read from USB, the display is ok.
I will then continue with some test regarding my mediatomb configuration and/or the MCI730 capabilities to determine who is faulty.

If you are using UPNP then your device will not use mp3 tags, but will use description from the UPNP server. So you probably should fix it.

Well, how do you know your "ID3 are ok" ? There are many examples of PC software that screws them up, one famous app is iTunes ;-) Trust me, I have been digging very deep into this matter over the year.
It is entirely up to your NAS/UPnP server to determine how it shall present the meta data (tags) to the UPnP tenderer (your MCi730), try changing some settings or another UPnP server application.
Cheers !
