WADM and mci500h sorting of tracks (track nrs get lost)
Hi,
when I copy music (mp3s) from my pc to the mci500 using the WADM the tracks are in the wrong order i.e. the track numbers get lost so the mci500 sorts the titles alphabetically. This behavior is pretty annoying. Btw. the track numbers in the tags of the original mp3s are fine.
Has anyone discovered the same issue or has solution?!
Thanks,
Taim

Hi !
Assuming that the TrackNumber in your MP3's is written into the correct MP3 tag (some software may mess it up with their own ideas of TrackNumber tagging), the MCi500H shows the tracks in "track number order" only when you navigate into Albums->[the album name]. In all other cases, the tracks are listed in alphabetical order.
Cheers !

Thanks Tias for the immediate answer!
Yes the tags were correct, and these files were directly acquired from amazon. All programs I have tested so far have the correct track number in the tag. However, the WADM software did transfer every tag information but the track number correctly.
In the meantime I have found that "re-tagging" the mp3s with MP3tag circumvents this problem. The tracks (and tags) get transferred correctly. This workaround is somewhat laborious but ok. However, I have no idea what might be the problem anyway
, since the initial tags and the tags from the MP3tag program (ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3)) are exactly the same...
Btw. When using WACHandler to copy the files, the track numbers get transfered correctly, but the cover artwork is missingLast edited by Taim; 06-06-2012 at 05:18 PM.

Hi !
Well, tracks bought from Amazon are known to have broken MP3 Tags. MP3Tag is an excellent program that on most cases is able to re-write the tags in the way they are supposed to be written and also removing unwanted ( = not in the MP3-tag standard definition) tags like Amazon and also iTunes adds to the tracks).
If you check the WACHandler webpage, I clearly explain that Album Art is not supported due to the encryption of the images that the MCi500H and WACS7500 devices has implemented :-(
Cheers !
